Privacy Policy

• Account details: name, email, and a password (stored as a hash). With Google sign-in, your name and email from Google.
• Optional profile details: photo, sports, home spot, phone number (hidden unless you share it with friends).
• Location, only while you use the app and only if you allow it, to find spots and confirm a check-in. Your check-in is visible to riders at that spot.
• What you post: listings, photos, messages (text is encrypted at rest), ratings, favorites and friends.
• A push notification token for your device.

We use this only to run BOARDRZ. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Service providers that run the app: hosting and file storage, messaging and push notification services, map and weather services (spot coordinates), an email service, and Google if you sign in with it. Other riders see what you make public, such as your nickname, photo, listings and posts. We disclose data if the law requires it.

In the app, go to Me → Delete account. Your login, name, email, phone, photo, favorites, friends, check-ins, posts, active listings and the content of your messages are removed immediately. Conversations and ratings other riders took part in remain, shown as "Deleted rider". Backups are overwritten as they rotate. A founder number, which no longer identifies you, may be kept so it is not reissued.

Cannot use the app? Email boardrz@hurricane.studio from your account address and we will delete it for you. You can use the same address to ask for access to or correction of your data.
